Last September, Anteral delivered a planar near field (PNF) probe kit to the European Space Agency (ESA) to extend their capability of performing antenna measurements up to 750 GHz.
The kit consists of a total of 8 PNF probes.
The kit was designed and optimised by ESA for Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction. The probes have been manufactured by micromachining with micrometric tolerances in aluminium with a golden finishing flash. For the manufacturing process Anteral has collaborated with Fundación Prodintec.
This month of December, Anteral has been granted with Phase 1 of the SME Instrument Horizon 2020.
The goal of the TERAWI-LESS project is to expand the production and marketing of low-cost THz antennas for point-to-point wireless communications systems. The use of THz bandwidth is a new and broader frequency resource capable of opening new frontiers in PtP wireless communications (point-to-point connection) with a data rate 5-10 times faster than current technology.
